NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Vaishnavi Gaur on Sunday hit back at RTI activist Amit Tiwari after he sought an investigation into the finances of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s father over his children’s education expenses in the United States.Responding to Tiwari’s allegations, Gaur posted on X, writing, “Ek private individual ke education expenses pe RTI lagane wale kabhi PM CARES Fund ki taraf bhi dekhe. Modi ji aapko maaf kar denge, don’t worry.” (Those filing RTIs over a private individual’s education expenses should also look at the PM CARES Fund. Modi ji will forgive you, don’t worry.)What Amit Tiwari allegedSpeaking to ANI, RTI activist Amit Tiwari said he had filed complaints with multiple authorities seeking action against CJP and an investigation into Dipke’s finances.He said he had approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding CJP’s functioning and also filed a complaint with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), demanding that an 18% GST be levied on the Rs 1 crore fund announced by senior advocate Kapil Sibal for the organisation.“I have filed a complaint at three different locations. I have complained against CJP at ECI. Regarding the Rs 1 Crore fund by Kapil Sibal, I have complained to CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) that 18% GST be levied on it. I have also complained to Maharashtra Govt that Bhagwanrao Dipke was a Junior Engineer at MIDC, ” Tiwari told ANI.Tiwari further claimed that Bhagwanrao Dipke, who served as a junior engineer with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), earned a monthly salary of around Rs 60,000-65,000. He questioned how Bhagwanrao could allegedly afford to educate his children in the United States and sought a probe by the Maharashtra government into whether the matter involved disproportionate assets.“So, if he received a salary of Rs 60,000-65,000 how was he able to afford education of his children in the US? We have complained to Maharashtra Govt that this should be investigated and strict action should be taken if this is a case of disproportionate assets. As far as the complaint against CJP is concerned, if they are acting like a political party – if they take in donations but are non-registered they will have to register under Sec 29A of Representation of the People Act, 1951,” Tiwari said.He also alleged that if CJP was functioning like a political party by accepting donations while remaining unregistered, it should be required to register under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.In addition, Tiwari criticised the organisation’s political statements, alleging that its leaders had used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his late mother and India’s foreign relations during the NEET protest movement. He said complaints had been filed regarding those remarks as well.“We have demanded that action be taken against them as they non-registered but are accepting a fund of Rs 1 Crore. We respect our elders, it was fine until you were carrying out the CJP movement and protesting over NEET. But in the middle of the agitation, you started abusing PM Modi and his late mother, you also spoke foul on his ties to foreign leaders. We have complained against all of this, that it is all wrong, ” Tiwari added.(With agency inputs)
