NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at a warehouse storing event management materials in south Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri area on Sunday morning, engulfing the tin-shed structure and spreading to a neighbouring building.No casualties have been reported, officials said.The Delhi fire services received a call about the blaze in Swaroop Colony at 6.43am, following which several fire tenders were rushed to the spot, news agency PTI reported.Assistant divisional officer Rajesh Kumar Shukla said the fire completely engulfed the tin-shed warehouse before spreading to an adjacent building.“The exact cause of the fire is not known yet. The fire has fully engulfed the tin-shed structure. It is surrounded by a residential area. The fire had spread to an adjacent building as well,” he said.He added that the situation had been brought under control.“The situation is now under control. It is a Category 4 fire. There have been no casualties so far,” Shukla said.Firefighters remain at the site to carry out cooling operations and ensure there is no further flare-up.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.Further investigation is currently underway, officials said.(Wth agency inputs)
