New Delhi: Delhi BJP Sunday launched a series of Tiranga Yatras across the city as part of its Independence Day week celebrations, with thousands of party workers participating in marches in several districts.The yatras were organised under the leadership of Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra and coordinated by state general secretary Vishnu Mittal. Malhotra will participate in a Tiranga Yatra in Chandni Chowk district Monday.In west Delhi, MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat led a yatra from Dholi Piau to Tilak Nagar, with BJP national general secretary Arun Singh and Delhi ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ashish Sood also participating. In north-west Delhi, MP Yogendra Chandolia led the march from Bhagwan Parshuram Chowk in Rohini to Jhanda Chowk in Sector 16.Sehrawat said the yatras aimed to take the spirit of patriotism to every household and urged people to keep the tricolour flying high. Chandolia said the campaign should reach homes, shops and institutions and inspire people to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.Singh appealed to people to proudly hoist the tricolour from Aug 9 to 15, while BJP said similar yatras would be organised across all districts and several mandals during the week.
