Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 10 second board examinations are still waiting for an official update on their results. While several reports have suggested that the results could be declared by the end of June, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet confirmed any date or time.The wait has become a major point of discussion among students and parents, especially because this is the first year of CBSE’s new two-board-exam system. Once released, students will be able to check their results through the official result portals.The second examination cycle was conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026. According to CBSE data, more than 6 lakh students appeared for the examinations. The exams were introduced under the board’s revised assessment system, which gives Class 10 students another opportunity to improve their scores or clear subjects in which they could not qualify during the main board examinations held earlier in the year.Under the new format, the February board examination remains compulsory, while the second examination is optional. Students can appear in up to three subjects during the second phase, and CBSE allows them to retain the better score obtained across the two examinations.The second exam cycle saw significant participation from students across the country. More than 5 lakh candidates reportedly registered under the improvement category, while thousands of others appeared for compartment examinations.
