Indian woman working in London says she made ₹63 lakh in one month outside her job - here's how she did it

Most people dream of getting a big promotion or a hefty salary hike. But an Indian professional living in London has gone viral for a very different reason. She recently revealed that she made around ₹63 lakh in just one month – and none of it came from her regular pay cheque. Aditi Mishra, who works full-time at a fintech startup in London, shared a video on Instagram explaining how she built several income streams alongside her corporate job. Calling herself a “full-time corporate girly” and a “part-time content creator”, she said she works long hours at her day job but has also been steadily building other sources of income on the side. What surprised many people was the scale of the earnings. Aditi currently serves as Chief of Staff at a London-based fintech company. Alongside that, she creates content online and has built a sizeable audience on Instagram. According to her, content-related work now contributes a significant chunk of her monthly earnings. The biggest contributor was brand collaborations. In the video, she revealed that she earned over £25,000 through brand deals alone in a single month. Another major source of income came from creating user-generated content, often called UGC. Unlike traditional influencer marketing, UGC involves creating videos and content for brands to use on their own platforms. Aditi said this brought in another £10,000. She also earns through speaking engagements and workshops. Between paid talks, sessions and events, she made around £9,500. Then there is consulting. Drawing on her professional experience, she occasionally advises startup founders and entrepreneurs. While consulting isn’t her primary focus, it has become another useful income stream. A paid newsletter adds to the mix as well. Aditi said she has built a readership of more than 40,000 people, allowing her to generate income through subscriptions. Interestingly, the smallest amount came from affiliate marketing. She revealed that she earned just £12 from it and admitted that it is still an area she is trying to figure out. When all six income streams were combined, the total crossed £50,000 – roughly ₹63 lakh. The video quickly attracted attention online, with many viewers stunned that the figure represented earnings from a single month and not an entire year. Several people praised her work ethic, while others were curious about how she manages so much alongside a demanding corporate role. One question kept popping up: how is she able to do all this while working in the UK on a work visa? Aditi addressed that too. She explained that people on Skilled Worker visas in the UK can legally take on additional work within certain limits, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the job sponsoring their visa. According to her, she makes sure she stays within those rules. The story struck a chord because it reflects something many young professionals are thinking about today. A few years ago, most people focused on building one career. Now, more and more people are trying to create multiple income streams – whether through writing, consulting, teaching, speaking, content creation or freelancing. Of course, earning ₹63 lakh in a month is far from ordinary. But what caught people’s attention wasn’t just the number. It was the idea that skills built outside a traditional job can sometimes become just as valuable as the job itself. And judging by the reaction online, that’s a conversation a lot of people are interested in having.
