According to a report by The Mirror, the King has asked senior aides to continue discussions with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the hope of finding time for a family meeting during Harry’s visit to the UK.The report says Charles is particularly keen to spend time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, whom he has rarely seen.A royal source told The Mirror, “While nothing has been ruled out, conversations remain ongoing.”Another source added, “The King would not pass up the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren and if there is a way of making it possible, he will do it.”
Harry arrives in the UK without Meghan and the children
Prince Harry arrived in the UK earlier this week on his own after recently holidaying in Europe with Meghan Markle and their children.According to the report, one of the options being discussed is for Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to fly to the UK for a brief 24 hour visit so they can meet the King.Harry is also said to be trying to arrange additional private security for his family before making any travel plans.King Charles has met Archie only a handful of times, while he has seen Lilibet just once during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
