DDA extends deadline for Narela flats till Aug 31

New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the application deadline for Nagrik Awas Yojana and Karmayogi Awas Yojana in Narela till Aug 31.Under Nagrik Awas Yojana, launched this Jan, 2,062 out of the 3,656 flats have been booked till Aug 4. “Taking note of the response, a proposal to add 1,287 flats of HIG and MIG categories in pockets 3 & 4, Sector A1-A4, Narela, has been submitted for approval of the competent authority. We will issue a circular sharing the updates as soon as the nod is received,” said the official.Under Karmayogi Awas Yojana, launched in Dec 2025, DDA initially offered 1,168 flats in Pocket 9 of Sector A1-A4 and added 936 flats from Pocket 6 in the same sector. Following an encouraging response and completion of the construction of 1,552 more flats in Pocket 13, the authority included the new inventory. “We have managed to sell 2,274 flats till Tuesday and efforts are underway to sell the rest,” said the official.While DDA has already provided a flat 25% discount on the housing inventory in Narela and has been offering flats in newly constructed pockets in Sector A1-A4, a number of citizen-centric measures have also been adopted to make the offers more attractive.“We are offering ready-to-move-in freehold flats and allotment is done on the first come, first served mode. DDA has also taken measures to simplify and expedite the allotment/possession process, including reduction of the timeline for physical possession from 90 to 60 days and introduction of a single consolidated affidavit-cum-undertaking,” said the official.For Karmajeevi Awas Yojana, launched on July 24 for working professionals, DDA has issued a circular giving floor-wise details for the convenience of buyers. “The detailed circular available on the website provides everything in detail — the floor on which flats are located, plinth area of balcony, remaining flats, area of parking, common area. This will help people select flats of their choice without physically visiting the site,” said the official.
