Since becoming a mother, actress Krissann Barretto is settling into a new phase of life in the US, where she lives with her husband and daughter. As she nears a year in the country, she opens up about adjusting to a new home, balancing motherhood and her plans to return to Mumbai later this year.Talking about life in the US, Krissann says, “It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Life has been peaceful, beautiful and a refreshing new chapter for me. The change has allowed me to slow down, embrace a different pace of life, and enjoy every moment with my family. Time has flown by! Next month marks exactly one year since I moved here, and I can honestly say I’ve loved every bit of it. It truly feels like home,” she says.Motherhood, she says, has been the biggest turning point in her life. “Motherhood has been the most beautiful and fulfilling chapter of my life. Every day with my daughter feels so special, and I absolutely love being able to spend so much time with her and watch her grow,” she says. Despite stepping away from television, she has continued to work as a content creator. “As a content creator, I worked until the day I gave birth and was back creating content shortly after. I was even posting from the hospital,” she says with a laugh, adding, “I guess being a workaholic is just who I am.”Motherhood has also reshaped her priorities. “I still love my work, but my daughter will always come first,” she says. Her absence from acting, she clarifies, was not a planned break. “It wasn’t really a planned break. Since I moved to the US, being away from India naturally made acting projects difficult, and then I got pregnant, which meant I couldn’t travel back for shoots. I had to let go of a few wonderful opportunities, but I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Right now, my focus is on my family, my daughter, and this new chapter of my life. Acting will always be close to my heart, and when the time feels right, I’ll be excited to return,” she says.Krissann is also looking forward to returning to Mumbai. “I do plan on visiting Mumbai later this year, and I’m really looking forward to it,” she says.
