In this episode of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, Tulsi announces that she has decided who will receive the responsibility of the Virani house. Niyati and Damini fail to earn Tulsi’s trust, leaving everyone stunned when Tulsi declares she is handing over the household keys to Vaishnavi, the youngest daughter-in-law. The decision shocks the entire family instantly.
Karan’s angry confrontation
Karan questions Tulsi’s intentions and accuses her of taking revenge on her own son He reminds Gautam that he had always opposed Tulsi and Vaishnavi and claims that Tulsi humiliated Nandini by making her follow Vaishnavi’s instructions. Tulsi firmly replies that Karan may be her son, but that does not automatically make Nandini her daughter-in-law. Karan says he no longer cares about her decisions but makes it clear that he will not leave the house. His anger fills the air as he refuses to accept this decision.
Why Vaishnavi over Damini
Niyati questions Tulsi for overlooking Damini, but Tulsi says she made the decision after careful thought. She is thankful for Niyati’s concern for Damini, but she still has her mind on giving the keys to Vaishnavi. Sobha also tells Tulsi to think again, but Tulsi tells Sobha that her choice is on ability and not age. She thinks that Vaishnavi has the potential to reconcile the family as the youngest daughter-in-law. Gautam is over the moon at the news of Vaishnavi’s selection and says that Damini should mentor her first and then take over. Tulsi agrees to this plan.

Vaishnavi’s fears and Tulsi’s wisdom
Vaishnavi requests Tulsi to take the keys back, admitting that the responsibility is too big for her and she feels overwhelmed. Tulsi tells her not to be afraid of the feat and that the head of the family should be like thread that holds the family together. Vaishnavi is afraid of her inexperience of handling such a huge role. Tulsi’s words of wisdom and confidence encourage her before she asks her to make tea, which is her first task. She tells Vaishnavi that it is through small steps that great achievements can be made.

Gautam’s private questions
In the meanwhile, Gautam asks Damini in personal why the keys have been denied to her and why Tulsi has become so upset. Damini tries to reassure him by stating that the keys have been in the family. She then asks him if he has any idea where Mihir is? Gautam doesn’t give her an answer and walks away, leaving her wondering what is actually going on.
Karan’s bitter confession
Karan vents his anger on Niyati and accuses Tulsi of never wanting his happiness. Niyati reveals that despite Rio being part of the Virani family, she has no real place in the family, since she never got married to Ansh. Amidst the conversation, Tulsi overhears and straightly tells Niyati that she has thought about it and has decided. She reminds everyone it’s her house, her rules. She doesn’t have to explain to anyone or ask permission of anyone. Karan refuses to back down and accuses Tulsi of being unfair to his family. In a shocking confession, he admits that he was the one who wrote the letters in Mihir’s name. He tells Tulsi to accept that Mihir hates her, leaving her heartbroken and in tears. Sahil overhears the entire conversation and comes to know the truth.

Sahil confronts the brothers
Later, Sahil calls Karan and Gautam to a room, and he closes the door behind them. He tells them the truth they have been lying to the family about. Both brothers claim they know nothing, but Sahil asks some questions about Mihir’s disappearance. He reminds Karan that he confessed to writing letters in Mihir’s name. Gautam asks Sahil to stay out of the matter while Karan also tells him not to interfere. Hurt by their behaviour, Sahil reminds them that he is one of them too and is unable to comprehend why they are excluding him. They have hurt him by not trusting him, he says. Karan and Gautam are left speechless as they see that Sahil’s emotional outburst is a result of their secrets and how they have ruined the family.The episode ends.
