Palghar: A 56-year-old policeman was arrested on Monday for allegedly molesting his 13-year-old neighbour in Palghar district for nearly three months.Police claimed the accused took advantage of the girl being alone at home during the day and gained her trust. He allegedly lured her with promises of financial help and began molesting her.Unable to bear the harassment any longer, the minor approached the local police, who booked him for molestation under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested him.“The accused has been suspended from service,” said Palghar Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh.
