The fantasy comedy romance drama film ‘Double Occupancy’ starring Santhosh and Reshma Venkatesh was released on the big screens on June 12. After its theatrical release the film has now made its digital debut for the audience to enjoy the flick at their comfort.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the makers welcomed the film to OTT with a special message. They wrote, “Our Rajinis are bringing you home: Double the laughs. Double the love. Double the entertainment.” The film is now available to watch on Prime Video from July 10, 2026.

Plot of ‘Double Occupancy’

Talking about the plot of the film, the story begins with a couple who become parents after 15 years of waiting. Unfortunately, soon the baby is born, the child dies. However, an unexpected miracle brings the baby back to life, but with a very unusual condition. Every day, the child lives as a girl from 6 am to 6pm and as a boy from 6 pm to 6 am.

A surprising twist

They name the child Rajini who later, in the daytime becomes a researcher, while the nighttime personality works as a bartender. Even though they live in the same body, they lead two different lives. The story becomes more interesting when both personalities fall in love with different people. Rajini has one romantic relationship during the day and another at night.

Directed by Aswin Kandasamy, ‘Double Occupancy’ stars Ponniyin Selvan, actor Santhosh and Reshma Venkatesh in the lead roles, with both playing the character Rajini.The film also marks Santhosh’s debut as a lead actor.
