Following the blockbuster success of ‘Karuppu’, expectations have soared for Suriya‘s next release, ‘Vishwanath and Sons.’ Directed by Venky Atluri, the film marks Suriya’s return to a romantic family drama after a long gap. With the film gearing up for its theatrical release on August 14, producer Naga Vamsi made confident remarks about the project while also addressing speculation surrounding director Nelson and his much-discussed collaboration with Jr NTR. His comments quickly became a major talking point among netizens on social media platforms.
Producer predicts a massive winner for Suriya
In a recent interview with Gulte, Naga Vamsi said the success of ‘Karuppu’ has only strengthened his confidence in ‘Vishwanath and Sons.’ “My confidence has increased after Karuppu became a blockbuster because I have already seen ‘Vishwanath and Sons’,” he said. The producer made a bold prediction, adding, “I am 200 percent confident that this will be a blockbuster. Audiences will enjoy the film without thinking twice. It is a sure-shot entertainer and a proper family film.” He also expressed confidence that the film would attract audiences across all age groups and perform strongly during its worldwide theatrical release.
Nelson’s project with Jr NTR remains the plan
Naga Vamsi also addressed rumours linking Suriya with director Nelson for an upcoming project. Without leaving room for speculation, he clarified that Nelson’s film under his banner has always been intended for Jr NTR. “Nelson is one of my favourite directors, and we will definitely make a film with him,” he said. He further added, “From the day we paid the advance, this project has been meant only for Junior NTR. It will happen in the future, depending on Jr NTR’s dates and his other commitments.” His statement effectively ended recent reports suggesting that Suriya could collaborate with Nelson in the near future.
Family entertainer set for August release
‘Vishwanath and Sons’ features Suriya alongside Mamitha Baiju, with Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Sunil Reddy, and several others playing key roles. Slated to release on August 14, the film has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Nimish Ravi, and editing by Navin Nooli.With the producer’s unwavering confidence, the positive momentum created by ‘Karuppu,’ and growing excitement around Suriya’s return to a feel-good family drama, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ has emerged as one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year.
