The Rajasthan boxer announced herself on the senior international stage by clinching the women’s 70kg gold medal at the World Boxing Cup Finals in Greater Noida in November 2025, capping a breakthrough year that established her among the country’s elite.Her golden run began a month earlier when she returned from a wrist surgery setback suffered in 2024 to win the 70kg title at the BFI Cup in Chennai. The impressive comeback showcased her resilience and underlined her readiness to compete at the highest level ahead of the Commonwealth Games.Choudhary’s success has been built on years of dominance in the junior ranks. She became the Junior World Champion in 2020 before adding the AIBA Youth World Championships gold medal in 2021.She began boxing at the age of 15 and made an immediate impact by winning the Rajasthan State Sub-Junior Championship in 2016. She soon claimed gold at the inaugural Junior National Boxing Championships in the 60kg category before moving up to the 70kg division, where she earned a silver medal at the 2018 Junior National Championships in Mohali.The Rajasthan pugilist also enjoyed an outstanding run at the Khelo India Games, winning gold medals in Delhi (2018), Pune (2019) and Guwahati (2020).Her development has also been shaped by valuable international exposure through tournaments in Ukraine, Serbia, Ireland and Montenegro, experiences that prepared her for success on the senior circuit. Now an established member of the Indian women’s boxing team, Choudhary will be aiming to translate her recent world-level triumph into Commonwealth Games glory in 2026.
