Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union Education Minister on Saturday, July 25, 2026 due to the nationwide protests over the alleged NEET paper leak. His resignation was one of the main demands of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which has been leading protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for more than a month. After the news broke, several Bollywood celebrities reacted on social media and supported the protesters. Filmmaker Kiran Rao also praised Gen Z, saying they had achieved what many believed was “impossible.”

Kiran Rao took to Instagram, shared a picture of the Preamble of the Constitution of India and penned a note hailing Gen Z as well as CJP. “Gen Z – you’ve done it. Achieved what we thought was impossible. And that too with a humour, swag, intelligence and empathy of some other level!… Mad respect and immense gratitude to you all. You make us feel alive and hopeful again as a nation. We are forever in your debt,” she wrote.She further expressed her gratitude to CJP and added, “Thank you CJP for being amazing catalysts and fearless leaders. Congratulating the young protesters and said in a video, “Aap jaante nahi ho, aapne aaj kya kiya hai? I am an artist bro, but Gen Z is the art!!! Main bahot halke mein leti thi Gen Z ko.
