The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the application correction window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session tomorrow, June 18. Candidates who have already submitted their application forms can make necessary corrections through the official website, ctet.nic.in.After the correction window closes, no further changes will be allowed in the submitted application forms. Candidates are therefore advised to review all details carefully and make corrections before the deadline.
What details can be edited?
CBSE has allowed candidates to modify several details in their CTET 2026 application form. The editable fields include:
- Candidate’s name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Address
- Mobile number
- Email ID
- Category
- Name of the institution, college, or university studied from
- Paper selected (Paper I or Paper II, subject to seat availability in the chosen city)
- Language I and Language II options under Paper II
However, candidates will not be allowed to change their examination city preferences. The board has clarified that examination centres will be allotted randomly.

- The submitted application form will appear on the screen.

CTET September 2026 exam schedule
According to the official schedule, the CTET September 2026 examination will be conducted on September 6, 2026.The examination will be held in two shifts:

CTET to be conducted in 27 languages
From the September 2026 session, CTET will be conducted in 27 languages. The board has also introduced Maithili as one of the language options available to candidates.Although CBSE has not yet announced the admit card release date, going by previous trends, the CTET September 2026 admit card is expected to be issued in the first week of September, likely around September 3.CTET is a national-level eligibility examination for candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes 1 to 8.
