Kochi: With IMD issuing yellow and orange alerts in various districts, Kerala is expected to receive heavy rainfall on Monday.While Kannur and Kasaragod will be on orange alert, the remaining districtsdwill be on yellow alert on Monday.Though all districts, except Malappuram, Palakkad and Thrissur, were on orange alert on Sunday, only a few places received significant amount of rainfall till 5.30pm.Vaikkom in Kottayam received 7.9cm, the highest amount of rainfall recorded in the day. It was followed by Cial in Ernakulam with 6.7cm rainfall.Meanwhile, IMD said central and northern districts will remain on heavy rainfall alert till July 4. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty wind is very likely to occur at one or two places over Kerala and Lakshadweep till Thursday.
