NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old makeup artist allegedly died by suicide in west Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area, an official said on Wednesday.According to police, a PCR call regarding the incident was received around 2.15 pm on May 26 at Nihal Vihar police station.The woman was found hanging in a room belonging to her friend and was immediately taken to Balaji Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.Her body was later shifted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for post-mortem examination, which confirmed death due to ante-mortem hanging.During the investigation, police recovered a suicide note from the spot in which she allegedly mentioned the involvement of a known person.Based on initial findings, police said they are in the process of registering a case of abetment to suicide.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
