New Delhi: Five people, including two 18-year-olds, have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 19-year-old man to death in northwest Delhi’s Rohini.The deceased, Chandan, worked at a manufacturing and kitchen designing company in Rithala village.Police said he was found lying face down in the bushes near DDA ground in Sector 23, after a PCR call at Begumpur police station Monday. There were bloodstains at the spot and a broken black helmet was found nearby. Chandan was taken to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Doctors found a stab wound on the left side of his chest. A case of murder was registered.As the investigation progressed, police raided multiple locations and arrested Kanha Chauhan and Amrit (both 18), Akbar (20), Girish (24) and Aman (25). Police said all five disclosed their involvement during interrogation. “The group had got into an altercation with Chandan, after which they even took his phone and stabbed him,” said a police officer.Police also seized two knives allegedly used in the murder, and five mobile phones belonging to the accused. Chandan’s mobile phone was also recovered.
