<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>National Green Tribunal<\/a> has issued notices to Delhi govt and police on a plea challenging the de-notification of a land parcel in Asola village that was marked as forest land earlier.An applicant has claimed that the land was de-notified through an order dated Sept 12, 2025, to facilitate the existence of the Fatehpur Beri police station.Hearing the matter on April 22, a bench headed by NGT chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava took up the original application, filed by applicant Devender, against the forest settlement officer of Delhi govt and other respondents.The dispute is about a land parcel in khasra 1157 (6-2) in the village, which was categorised as forest land through a notification on May 24, 1994, after being identified as such in an STF report. The applicant has alleged that after the land was notified as forest land, it was allotted by the director of the gram panchayat to Delhi Police<\/a> on Feb 12, 2015, for the construction of a police station at Fatehpur Beri.\u201cThe applicant raises a further grievance that by the impugned order at the instance of Delhi Police, the land has been de-notified. The plea is that this entire exercise of de-notification… is unsustainable and illegal,\u201d NGT said.The tribunal asked Delhi police and govt to file their responses at least one week before the next date of hearing on July 30.No response was received from Delhi Police on this matter.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
