Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng index slipped 0.1%, China\u2019s Shanghai Composite edged up 0.2%, and Australia\u2019s S&P\/ASX 200 fell 0.3%.<\/p>\n Investor sentiment remained fragile as oil prices climbed amid stalled peace talks between the United States and Iran.Brent crude rose more than $1 to $100.57 a barrel, while U.S. benchmark crude added $1.28 to $95.65.Tensions persist despite a ceasefire, with disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continuing to limit oil flows from the Persian Gulf.US President Donald Trump signalled a pause in diplomacy, saying: \u201cIf they want, we can talk but we\u2019re not sending people,\u201d after cancelling plans to dispatch envoys to Pakistan for further negotiations. He added on social media, \u201cAll they have to do is call!!!\u201d<\/p>\n Asian markets drew some support from record highs on Wall Street.
