NEW DELHI: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday escalated the party\u2019s attack on the BJP<\/a>, alleging that its Gujarat social media pages were blocked out of \u201cfear\u201d amid the ongoing local body elections.Reposting a video by Gujarat AAP president Isudan Gadhvi, Kejriwal wrote on X: \u201cAam Aadmi Party’s social media FB and Insta pages have been blocked in Gujarat. In the video, Gadhvi claimed that both Facebook and Instagram pages of AAP Gujarat had been shut down, alleging political pressure. He said the platforms had collectively garnered over 8 crore views in the past month and were emerging as a \u201cvoice of the people of Gujarat.\u201d\u201cThe BJP in Gujarat is so terrified of the Aam Aadmi Party that now the party\u2019s Gujarat Facebook and Instagram pages have also been shut down,\u201d Gadhvi said, adding that the move was an attempt to suppress public sentiment. He asserted that if the ruling party had performed well, it would not need to resort to such measures, and expressed confidence that voters would respond decisively.The controversy comes as AAP\u2019s Gujarat unit\u2019s Instagram handle was suspended during the civic poll campaign, with party leaders questioning the timing and alleging a deliberate attempt to curb its outreach.The development also follows a major political setback for AAP, with Raghav Chadha and six other Rajya Sabha MPs announcing their exit from the party and decision to join the BJP a day earlier.AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha said the party had been receiving strong public support in Gujarat and asked whether the BJP was \u201cscared\u201d of its rising popularity.
