Eyewitnesses said that the car dragged the victim to about 50 feet before it halted.Pedestrians and morning walkers immediately rushed to the spot, rescued the victim and apprehended the man driving the car. The angry mob also assaulted the driver, but in the melee the latter managed to give them a slip.In the meantime, Ulidih police reached the place of occurrence and rushed the injured to MGM hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead.\u201cMy brother, who is a lawyer in the Supreme Court, lives in Delhi.
