According to <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/election-commission\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\">Election Commission<\/a> data, over 3.6 crore electors across 16 districts will vote in the first phase alone. Here is a quick guide for voters.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Polling timings:<\/span> 7am to 6pm<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Documents to carry:<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo   id-r-component \" data-pos=\"13\">\n<ul>\n<li>Voter ID card (EPIC) \u2014 mandatory<\/li>\n<li>Alternative ID: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, bank passbook with photo, service ID card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Dos:<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo   id-r-component \" data-pos=\"17\">\n<ul>\n<li>Check your name on the electoral roll before leaving<\/li>\n<li>Carry a valid ID \u2014 voter slip is helpful but not mandatory<\/li>\n<li>Stand in queue and follow polling station instructions<\/li>\n<li>Get your finger inked before casting your vote<\/li>\n<li>Verify your vote on the VVPAT machine after pressing the button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Don&#8217;ts:<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo   id-r-component \" data-pos=\"21\">\n<ul>\n<li>Do not wear or carry any political party symbols<\/li>\n<li>Do not carry mobile phones inside the polling booth<\/li>\n<li>Do not take photos or videos while voting<\/li>\n<li>Do not accept money or gifts from political representatives<\/li>\n<li>Do not engage in impersonation \u2014 it is a punishable offence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">What you can carry:<\/span> Water bottle, basic essentials, necessary items for elderly or differently-abled voters<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">What you cannot carry:<\/span> Sharp objects, lighters, flammable items, mobile phones<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Special arrangements: <\/span>CCTV cameras have been installed at all 44,378 booths in the first phase.
