<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>Lieutenant governor (LG) Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Monday visited the Fire Service Management Academy (FSMA) in Rohini<\/a> to review operational readiness, training standards and enforcement gaps in the Delhi Fire Service.During the visit, LG reviewed training modules and witnessed live demonstrations of firefighting and rescue operations, including the use of specialised equipment such as an indigenous articulating water tower with a reach of up to 55 metres, remote-controlled firefighting machines, mini robots and German-made turntable ladders.In a post on X, Sandhu stressed the importance of fire safety in urban governance, particularly in schools and hospitals. He directed officials to intensify inspections, fast-track pending no-objection certificate (NOC) applications and take strict action against safety lapses. With summer setting in, he also emphasised proactive vigilance, regular fire audits and sustained public awareness campaigns.Interacting with trainee officers, the LG underlined the need for heightened preparedness and swift response during the summer months, while highlighting the role of modern technology in strengthening firefighting capabilities.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
