Among its allies, the JD(U) and LJP (Ram Vilas) have two women MPs each, while the TDP and Apna Dal (Soneylal) have one each.On the other side, the Congress has 13 female members out of a total strength of 99, followed by its allies Trinamool Congress<\/a> (11 out of 29), Samajwadi Party (5 out of 37), and the DMK (3 out of 22). We have the highest proportion of female elected representatives in both Parliament and the state legislature. In the Lok Sabha, 37.9% of our elected members are women. In the Rajya Sabha, we have nominated 46% women members.
