A subsequent verification of the vehicle\u2019s chassis and engine numbers revealed discrepancies, prompting a deeper check.Police then traced the second SUV bearing the same registration number and found that that too had been reported stolen. The registration number had allegedly been duplicated and affixed to the vehicles to make identification difficult, police said. Both SUVs were seized.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
