He told police that he had been offered a property in Karol Bagh and a lease agreement was duly executed. However, when he later went to take possession, he found that the premises had already been repossessed by a finance company due to non-payment of a loan.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>Police said the accused had availed a home loan of Rs 98 lakh against the property in 2017 and later defaulted on the repayments, following which the finance company took possession. Despite being aware of this, he allegedly induced the complainant to enter into the lease agreement two years later.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>\u201cDuring the investigation, police found that the accused was evading arrest by frequently changing mobile numbers and locations,\u201d said DCP (central) Rohit Rajbir Singh. Teams analysed call detail records to develop leads.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>Through technical surveillance, the police identified a newly activated mobile number. Its analysis, along with inputs from local informers, helped the team trace his location to Nangal Devat village in Delhi.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>A raid was conducted and the accused, identified as Ravindra Garg, was found working as a taxi driver and apprehended.
