<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: Three bills, including one seeking to extend the cut-off date for eligibility under the slum rehabilitation scheme from the existing Jan 1, 2015, to Jan 1, 2025, are set to be introduced and two Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports tabled in the monsoon session of Delhi Assembly, scheduled to commence Friday.The business advisory committee, chaired by Speaker Vijender Gupta<\/a>, Wednesday finalised the agenda.\u201cThe committee decided that three bills, relating to the time-bound delivery of public services, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and bed-and-breakfast establishments, will be introduced during the sixth session of the eighth Legislative Assembly, scheduled from Aug 7 to 11,\u201d said Gupta.The Speaker said CM Rekha Gupta, who is also the minister of finance, will lay \u2018Report No. 1 of 2026 \u2014 Report of CAG for the year ended March 31, 2023 relating to Delhi govt\u2019 and \u2018Report No. 2 of 2026 \u2014 Report of CAG on state finance for 2024-2025 relating to Delhi govt.\u2019The Delhi (Right of Citizen to Time Bound Delivery of Services) Bill, 2026, which seeks to repeal and replace the Delhi (Right of Citizens to Time Bound Services) Act, 2011, will be introduced with the objective of strengthening the legal framework for time-bound delivery of public services, expand the range of services covered, streamline service delivery through technology and improve accountability of govt departments for delays.Delhi govt will also introduce a bill proposing an amendment to Section 2, Clause (g), Sub-clause (iii) of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board Act, 2010, read with the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (Amendment) Act, 2015 and Delhi Act No. 05 of 2020 with the purpose of extending the cut-off date for eligibility under the slum rehabilitation scheme from Jan 1, 2015, to Jan 1, 2025. The revised eligibility is expected to benefit lakhs of residents of JJ clusters established up to Jan 1, 2025, enabling them to access rehabilitation and permanent housing under govt\u2019s large-scale redevelopment programme.The third bill to be introduced proposes the repeal of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007 (Delhi Act No. 11 of 2007), along with its Amendment Acts of 2010 and 2021.Meanwhile, the assembly has strengthened security with hydraulic road blockers, upgraded access control systems and deployment of CRPF quick response teams following a major security breach at the complex in April this year.The opposition AAP is gearing up to corner the govt on several issues, including the alleged Rs 650-crore medicine procurement scam and alleged irregularities in the free cycle distribution scheme of Delhi govt. The party will also likely to raise the issue of E20-blended fuel, against which it has been protesting against central govt demanding its withdrawal.<\/div>\n
