<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: The fast-track court hearing the NEET paper leak case Tuesday sought CBI\u2019s response, including on the maintainability of a plea filed by three accused seeking permission to voluntarily undergo a lie detector test and brain mapping.Special judge Ajay Gupta directed CBI to file its response by Aug 6. The court also deferred the bail pleas of Vikas and Dinesh Biwal till then. Proceedings on taking cognisance of CBI\u2019s chargesheet were also adjourned to the same date as the final report remains under scrutiny. CBI has charge-sheeted all 13 accused, currently in judicial custody.The three accused, Mangilal Biwal, Dinesh and Vikas, moved an application through their counsel, AP Singh, seeking permission to undergo both tests. \u201cThe applicants seek to assist the investigating agency by voluntarily offering themselves for recognised scientific examination, so that every lawful investigative avenue capable of aiding the search for truth may be explored,\u201d the plea said, adding that the tests could be conducted at any govt-approved forensics laboratory.Tuesday also marked the first hearing before special judge Gupta, who was reassigned the court handling the cases under Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, including the NEET-UG paper leak case.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
