<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLucknow:<\/span> Under Operation Muskaan, the Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) Unit of the Lucknow Police Commissionerate has traced and reunited a 14-year-old mentally challenged boy with his family nearly nine months after he went missing.The boy rescued, Ujjwal Singh, disappeared from his home in Daud Nagar, Faizullaganj under the Madeyganj police station area on Nov 6, 2025. Following a complaint lodged by his mother, Neetu Singh<\/a>, FIR was registered at Madeyganj Police Station on Nov 9, 2025. The investigation was later transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT) Police Station on orders of the joint commissioner of police (crime and headquarters).According to police, the day after he went missing, BKT Police found the boy wandering alone in an abandoned condition. Since he was mentally challenged and unable to disclose his identity, address or details of his family, he was rescued and produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), which directed that he be admitted to the Govt Children\u2019s Home in Lucknow. Since his identity could not be established, he remained registered there as an unidentified child.During investigation, the AHT team, under the supervision of additional DCP (crime) Kiran Yadav, carried out extensive verification of shelter homes, institutions and other possible locations across districts as part of Operation Muskaan, a nationwide initiative to trace missing children.On Jul 27, officers examining records at the Govt Children\u2019s Home on PP Marg, Mohan Road, matched the photograph of an unidentified child with that of the missing boy. His family was subsequently called to the shelter home, where they identified him as Ujjwal Singh.After completing all legal formalities, police handed over the boy to his family.<\/div>\n
