<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nJAMMU: Flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Chatroo area of J&K\u2019s Kishtwar district early Saturday damaged shops and houses, inundated the main market with boulders, mud and slush, damaged Kishtwar\u2013Chatroo\u2013Sinthan national highway, and prompted authorities to shut schools.Meanwhile, Amarnath Yatra was suspended from Jammu\u2019s Bhagwati Nagar base camp on Saturday as Jammu\u2013Srinagar NH remained closed for the second consecutive day due to incessant rain.\u201cAt least two vehicles parked near a local stream in Kishtwar were washed away, while four to five shops and around three houses were damaged. No casualties have been reported so far,\u201d an official said.Union minister Jitendra Singh said shopkeepers and business owners affected by the cloudburst would receive compensation in accordance with govt relief norms.Schools also remained shut in Doda, Poonch, and Ramban districts due to incessant rain.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
