<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nVijayawada<\/span>: <\/span>State govt employees forum-APJAC Amaravati has urged the state govt to implement the Presidential Orders-2025 in a phased and legally compliant manner without affecting the service rights of existing employees, promotions and compassionate appointments. The employees\u2019 body said the Centre had provided a statutory implementation period of 27 months and cautioned against taking hasty decisions merely to expedite the proposed job calendar.Speaking to the media on Thursday, APJAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu said that it was unfortunate that even compassionate appointments had been stalled on the grounds of the implementation process. \u201cCompassionate appointment is a welfare measure extended to the family of a deceased employee. It should not be halted in the name of the Presidential Orders,\u201d he said.Bopparaju pointed out that several departments were already grappling with long-pending issues relating to promotions, cadre strength and seniority. \u201cIf the Presidential Orders are implemented in haste without first resolving these issues, it may create fresh service complications not only for existing employees but also for the youth who will join govt service through future recruitment,\u201d he said.He alleged that the finance department\u2019s directions, under which promotions and other service matters were reportedly kept in abeyance from July 13, lacked legal backing. \u201cNeither the Presidential Orders-2025 nor the relevant service rules mandate a blanket suspension of promotions. The present restrictions are adversely affecting employees\u2019 legitimate rights,\u201d Bopparaju said.The APJAC chairman urged the govt to prepare a comprehensive implementation plan in consultation with heads of departments and recognised employees\u2019 associations after identifying department-wise issues and the time required to resolve them. He also demanded that promotions and transfers in state-level cadres that do not fall under the purview of the Presidential Orders should continue without interruption.The employees\u2019 body further sought immediate resumption of compassionate appointments and completion of all pending promotion panels in accordance with service rules before Aug 31. \u201cBoth existing employees and unemployed youth awaiting recruitment are part of the same govt family. Neither should suffer because of arbitrary administrative decisions. The implementation of the Presidential Orders and recruitment should move forward in a coordinated manner without causing injustice to either group,\u201d Bopparaju said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
