Less than four months later, in February 2025, Sweet told employees in an internal memo that Accenture was ending several of its DEI-specific goals and programs, including its long-standing target of a gender-balanced global workforce by 2025 \u2014 a target the company had held since 2017. Around the same time, Accenture renamed its public-facing DEI webpage from \u201cOur commitment to inclusion & diversity\u201d to \u201cEveryone is welcome here.\u201d Accenture\u2019s own framing of the shift was that the underlying commitment to a workplace where everyone belongs hadn’t changed, even as the specific representation targets and named programs built around it were retired.
