<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi:<\/span> A Delhi court has directed the director of Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IBHAS) to constitute a medical board to examine the mental condition of Sarabjeet Singh, an accused in the Delhi Assembly crash case. Singh\u2019s counsel earlier sought an assessment under the Mental Healthcare Act.Additional sessions judge Ankur Jain passed the order after defence counsel Anshul Shukla submitted that the application had been moved under the Mental Healthcare Act and relied on the accused\u2019s medical records.\u201cPrevious medical documents have been verified by the IO. It is submitted that applicant is suffering from bipolar disorder. It is submitted that directions may be issued for constitution of medical board,\u201d the defence argued before the court.The prosecution didn\u2019t oppose the request.The matter has been listed for further proceedings on Aug 11.Singh, 37, allegedly crashed his SUV through Gate No. 2 of the Delhi Assembly complex on April 6, injuring a security guard on duty. He was subsequently arrested and remanded to judicial custody after police interrogation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
