NEET is not necessary. DMK and Tamil Nadu were the first to voice their opposition to NEET due to the fundamental flaws in its design. Our warnings were never heard,” he said, reiterating his party’s stand against the national exam, which replaced state-level entrance tests.No longer part of the opposition INDIA bloc, Maran focused largely on his party’s stand against NEET, the entrance exam to medical colleges, while tangentially referring to the recent student protest, the focus of BJP’s opponents. Students have compelled parliamentarians to debate NEET, he saidHe alleged that Meta smart glasses had been used to record protesting students, following which police reached their homes.
