NEW DELHI: Swiggy-owned quick commerce platform Instamart will have a new chief executive, with Nandita Sinha set to take over as CEO from August 3, following the resignation of Amitesh Kumar Jha.The leadership change was disclosed in a regulatory filing on Tuesday. Jha has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the company.“I hereby tender my resignation from the position of CEO-Instamart, to pursue opportunities outside the organisation,” Jha said in his resignation letter addressed to Swiggy Managing Director and Group CEO Sriharsha Majety,” as quoted by PTI.Further, hailing his time in the firm, he added on LinkedIn, “When I transitioned from Flipkart to Instamart, the quick-commerce industry was obsessed with one thing: growth at all costs. The prevailing narrative was that rapid delivery was a cash burning machine, and the market was highly skeptical that unit economics could ever work in a hyper competitive space. My mandate was to prove that assumption wrong. Today, as I announce my decision to turn a page and think about the next stage, I am incredibly proud to say we delivered exactly what we set out to build.“Also talking about scaling business, Jha said, “Over the last few years, we didn\u2019t just scale Instamart; we fundamentally re-designed how quick commerce operates. By applying deep e-commerce operational rigor to the instant delivery model, we ignored the industry noise and focused entirely on the fundamentals: optimizing the supply chain, making assortment the king, building a highly efficient dark-store network, and obsessing over unit economics.“Meanwhile, Sinha joins Instamart from fashion e-commerce platform Myntra<\/a>, where she served as CEO.“Instamart sits at the heart of how India shops for its everyday needs, and I look forward to working with our colleagues, partners and consumers to shape its next chapter of growth,” Sinha said.<\/div>\n
