The exam gives students who were placed in the compartment category another chance to clear the subjects they could not pass in the regular board examinations.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>This year, around 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category after the CBSE Class 12 board examinations, which were held from February 17 to April 10, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Candidates appearing for the supplementary examination must carry their admit card, a valid photo identity card, and the required stationery to the examination centre.
