<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nNEW DELHI: The Delhi Police<\/a> has solved the murder of a cab driver in Krishna Nagar<\/a> by arresting three accused, including a juvenile, while identifying a fourth suspect who remains absconding.Police said they received a PCR call on July 23 reporting that Vijay Kumar, 40, a resident of West Vinod Nagar, was found with multiple stab injuries inside his car in east Delhi<\/a>.He was taken to Dr Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.A murder case was registered, and multiple teams were formed to investigate the blind case, news agency PTI reported.During the investigation, the accused allegedly told police that they had consumed liquor together before plotting to rob a cab driver for quick money.According to police, one of the accused arranged a knife and booked a Rapido cab using Ayan’s mobile phone.<\/p>\n Police said the four allegedly boarded the cab, stabbed the driver near the Chitra Vihar crossing traffic signal, shifted him to the back seat and fled with the vehicle.They later abandoned the blood-stained car near East Azad Nagar Metro Station after members of the public chased them, the officer said.The breakthrough came after investigators examined CCTV footage, call detail records and other technical evidence, which led them to the accused in New Seelampur.“Following sustained surveillance and coordinated raids, police apprehended three suspects, while the fourth accused was identified and efforts are underway to arrest him,” a police officer said.The arrested accused have been identified as Ayan, 20, who is allegedly involved in four previous criminal cases, including robbery and snatching, and Sahil, 19, who has one previous case of snatching, the officer said.A juvenile was also apprehended in connection with the case, while the fourth accused has been identified as Aman.Police recovered the alleged murder weapon, the blood-stained car, the accused’s blood-stained clothes, mobile phones used in the crime, and other incriminating material.Further investigation is underway, police said.(With agency inputs)<\/div>\nCJP Jantar Mantar Protest Updates<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
