Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 4 crore and the rest of India accounted for Rs 3.50 crore.Together, these markets helped the film reach a domestic gross collection of Rs 48.27 crore. And all these are put together in a slap dash fashion that we stop caring about the characters. And the execution only makes it worse. By the time we get to the climax, we are in an over-the-top realm of remote-controlled warfare and social media-amplified hate campaigns that are happening overnight in hardly believable manner.“But Vijay holds it all together. The earnestness in his performance and the politically loaded lines (“50 varushama arasiyal pannitirukara kudumbam”, “Motha Tamizhachigaloda aaseervaadhamum ennikum unga kooda irukkum”) sort of keep us interested. And Anirudh does his part by adding punch to the scenes.
