Christopher Nolan<\/a>\u2019s \u2018The Odyssey\u2019 has created quite a buzz online. With many people debating over the dialogue choices as well as the casting, Travis Scott\u2019s addition to the list came as a big surprise to many. The famed rapper was cast as one of the birds in the film who tells the tale of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. In one of his recent interviews, Scott opened up about how he landed the role in the first place and just how nervous he was to play a role in Nolan’s film.Travis Scott shares how nervous he was being cast in \u2018The Odyssey\u2019The \u2018SICKO MODE\u2019 rapper recently starred on \u2018The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u2019 on July 21, where he was asked about how he landed the opportunity of a lifetime. The rapper candidly shared that he landed the role after Christopher Nolan personally reached out to him and invited him to take on the character of the Bard.‘He added, \u201cMy phone went off, and it just said, \u2018Chris.\u2019 And I\u2019m thinking, like, \u2018Okay, I don\u2019t know what this is about. Maybe he wants to go to a show?\u2019\u201d Further on he added, \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Okay, what\u2019s this about?\u2019 So I pick up, and he\u2019s like, \u2018Would you be interested in acting in a movie?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018I mean, I guess, you know? What\u2019s the [role]?\u2019 but I didn\u2019t think it was for him. I thought it might be for somebody else.\u201dThe 35-year-old further shared that the request surprised him to the core, as this was his first acting role. He mentioned the most he had done in front of the camera was only for his music videos. He added, \u201cI\u2019m like \u2018Whoa, hold on. Wait. Wait. You know I make music?\u2019 and then he gave me his whole thesis on why\u2026\u201dTravis Scott shared that Christopher Nolan inspired him deeplyThe rapper also shared a few words on what it was like to work with the legendary director and how his first acting credit felt like. Scott shared, \u201cI really enjoy his time. I\u2019m really inspired by him; he\u2019s a real mentor of mine outside of this. And so I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, whatever you\u2019re down with, I\u2019m down. However, it goes, I\u2019m with it.\u2019\u201dWhen he was asked about how it all felt for him by Jimmy Fallon, the rapper candidly replied, \u201cI was actually nervous as \u2018F,\u2019 but it worked out.\u201d He also explained that, \u201cI didn\u2019t know that it was going to be Anne Hathaway<\/a>, Tom [Holland] and Robert Pattinson<\/a>, a bunch of like, amazing people\u2026 I don\u2019t know what the f— I\u2019m doing. But they were such [an] amazing cast, you know?\u201dOther than being on screen for \u2018The Odyssey\u2019, Travis Scott also worked on one of the end-credit songs for the film. \u2018WHEN I’M HOME\u2019, a collaboration with James Blake nd featured punchy lines about the \u2018Odyssey\u2019 tale and everything that happened in the film.<\/div>\n
