Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez has spoken publicly for the first time since his side’s FIFA World Cup<\/a> final defeat to Spain, insisting he remains proud to represent his country despite the painful end to their title defence. Argentina’s hopes of retaining the World Cup crown ended with a 1-0 extra-time defeat to Spain at New York New Jersey Stadium on Monday. Ferran Torres struck the decisive goal after Enzo Fernandez had been sent off late in the contest, leaving Lionel Scaloni’s men to finish the match with 10 players. The Chelsea midfielder was shown two yellow cards during the final.
