Met dept has issued orange and yellow heatwave alerts in Kalyana Karnataka for next two day.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>On Tuesday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum of 36.6\u00b0C, the hottest day of 2026. Even though the maximum temperature dropped by 0.8\u00b0C Wednesday, mercury levels are likely to touch 38\u00b0C in the coming days, according to CS Patil, a scientist at IMD Bengaluru.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>In Bengaluru, as per IMD forecast, the maximum temperature is expected to hover between 36\u00b0C and 37\u00b0C over the next two days, with dry weather prevailing across the city. Although meteorologists are expecting a few spells of thundershower activity, these are likely to be isolated to one or two areas and may not provide muchneeded relief from the scorching heat.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>In Kalaburagi, Awrad B recorded 45\u00b0C, Chincholi and Afzalpur at 44.03\u00b0C, and Kalaburagi city 42.1\u00b0C.
