<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: A Delhi court Saturday took cognisance of the charge sheet filed in the rape and murder case of a 22-year-old resident of Kailash Hills, daughter of a senior bureaucrat, allegedly killed by the family\u2019s former domestic help, and told both the prosecution and the defence to ensure that \u201cnone of the contents must leak in the media.\u201dJudicial magistrate first class Deepika Thakran, who was hearing the matter, directed the legal aid defence counsel to peruse the list of evidence accompanying the charge sheet within two weeks. The court also remanded accused to 14-day judicial custody and listed the matter for scrutiny of documents on Aug 1.The court directed the police to preserve all video evidence in the case and provide the defence with all relevant electronic evidence, including photographs of the deceased. It also granted the investigating agency five days to supply the remaining electronic evidence on a pen drive to the defence.During the proceedings, the police informed the court that the report on the recreation of the crime scene had not yet been filed with the charge sheet, as it was awaited from forensic examination. While granting time to the defence to examine the material supplied by the police, the court cautioned both sides to ensure that there is no leak of contents.On April 22 in South East Delhi, the victim, a UPSC aspirant, was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered in her residence before it was robbed. The accused was identified through CCTV footage and arrested the same day. All the robbed property was recovered, police said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
