NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has appointed 1994-batch IPS officer Anurag Kumar as the new Commissioner of Police for Delhi. Kumar was currently posted as special director (intelligence bureau<\/a>). According to an official order issued on Friday, Kumar will assume the top post in the capital’s police force with effect from the date he assumes charge. He is slated to hold the position until further orders are issued.He succeeds the outgoing Commissioner, Satish Golcha, a 1992-batch IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre, who has been directed to report to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for a subsequent posting. This transition will take full effect upon the assumption of charge by the new incumbent, Kumar.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
