The Nifty Realty Index is a sectoral stock market index of the National Stock Exchange<\/a> (NSE) that is benchmark of the performance of country’s listed real estate companies. It is designed to reflect the movement of companies primarily engaged in the construction and development of residential and commercial properties.Unlike broader benchmarks such as the Nifty 50 or Sensex, the Nifty Realty Index focuses exclusively on the real estate sector, making it a key gauge of investor sentiment toward property developers.Around 9:40, the index was trading at 932.75, down 5.85 points or 0.62%.<\/p>\n

How it works?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

The index comprises 10 listed real estate companies selected based on their free-float market capitalisation. It is calculated using the free-float market capitalisation methodology, meaning only shares available for public trading are considered while determining a company’s weight in the index.The index is rebalanced twice a year, ensuring that its constituents continue to represent the sector.Which companies are part of the index?<\/span>As of June 30, the Nifty Realty Index includes:<\/p>\n
