The deceased was identified as Uday Mahato, a resident of Khyala, according to news agency PTI.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>&#8220;A speeding SUV hit Mahato, while his friend narrowly escaped,&#8221; an eyewitness told police.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>According to police, the SUV driver fled the scene after the accident. Mahato&#8217;s friend informed his family and rushed him to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>The victim is survived by his wife and two children. Family members have demanded the immediate arrest of the absconding driver.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>Police said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
