The revised answer key will incorporate changes made after the review of objections submitted against the provisional answer key and will be published for all question paper sets.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>Following the release of the final answer key, the AIBE 21 results are expected to be declared between July 15 and July 18, 2026. The result will determine the eligibility of candidates to receive the Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is mandatory for practising law before courts and tribunals in India.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">AIBE 21 examination timeline<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>The examination process began with the written test conducted on June 7, 2026. The provisional answer key and individual response sheets were released on June 10, allowing candidates to compare their responses.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>The online objection window remained open from June 10 to June 17, during which candidates could challenge any answer in the provisional key. After reviewing these objections, the BCI finalised the revised answer key, scheduled for release on July 10. The final scorecards are expected to be announced between July 15 and July 18.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">How to download the final answer key<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Once the answer key is available, candidates can access the set-wise PDFs for Sets A, B, C and D through the official All India Bar Examination portal.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>Candidates need to open the official website, locate the notification section or the &#8220;AIBE XXI Final Answer Key 2026&#8221; link on the homepage, and open the consolidated PDF. They can then compare the revised answers with the question bookletset used during the examination.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Qualifying marks for AIBE 21<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories must secure at least 45 per cent marks to qualify for the Certificate of Practice. Candidates from the SC and ST categories are required to obtain a minimum of 40 per cent.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"27\"\/>The examination does not carry negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions. If the BCI approves any deleted questions or grace marks after the review process, these revisions will be reflected in the final answer key released on July 10.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"29\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Candidate participation and previous examination trends<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/>The BCI has reported a significant rise in participation over recent examination cycles. AIBE 21 is estimated to have recorded nearly 2.65 lakh candidates, representing an increase of almost 75 per cent in candidate footfall over two examination cycles.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/>Previous examination data shows that AIBE 18 (2023) recorded around 1.44 lakh candidates with an overall pass percentage of 48.36 per cent. AIBE 19 (2024) registered a pass percentage of 77.27 per cent. In AIBE 20 (2025), 2,51,968 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 1,74,386 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 69.21 per cent.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"36\"\/>For AIBE 21, the total number of candidates is estimated at around 2.65 lakh, while the number of qualified candidates and the overall pass percentage will be announced along with the results.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Gender-wise participation data<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/>According to the latest consolidated BCI figures, 1,65,613 male candidates appeared in the examination, with 1,13,063 qualifying.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>Among female candidates, 86,336 appeared and 61,310 qualified. The BCI also recorded the participation of 19 transgender candidates, of whom 13 qualified.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"45\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Drop question policy in AIBE<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"47\"\/>The AIBE evaluation process includes a provision for removing incorrect or defective questions from the final assessment.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"50\"\/>During AIBE 20, five questions were dropped after review, reducing the total evaluation from 100 to 95 marks. If the BCI identifies similar discrepancies during the AIBE 21 review process, the final scoring will be adjusted accordingly.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"52\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Certificate of Practice process after the result<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"54\"\/>Candidates who qualify in AIBE 21 become eligible to receive the Certificate of Practice issued by the BCI. The document authorises advocates to represent clients and practise before courts and tribunals across India.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"57\"\/>Candidates who do not obtain the Certificate of Practice after clearing the examination cannot continue practising once the two-year validity of their provisional enrolment with the respective State Bar Council expires.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"59\"\/>Digital verification of the Certificate of Practice is expected to be available through the official AIBESCOPE mobile application three to four weeks after the declaration of results. The physical certificate is generally dispatched to the respective State Bar Councils within three to five months after the results are announced.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"63\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">Collection procedure for the Certificate of Practice<\/span><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"65\"\/>Candidates should regularly monitor notifications issued by their respective State Bar Councils regarding certificate distribution.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"67\"\/>At the time of collection, candidates are required to visit the State Bar Council office with their provisional identity card, State enrolment certificate and a copy of the AIBE 21 qualifying scorecard.
