<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>After years of delays caused by poor coordination between govt departments, several long-pending land allotment issues in the city have been resolved, paving the way for the implementation of key public infrastructure, security, education and community welfare projects.The breakthrough follows a review by lieutenant governor TS Sandhu, who directed Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to streamline the allotment process for several critical projects.With stress on bolstering Delhi\u2019s security infrastructure, DDA has allotted land for new police stations at Dilkusha Bagh, Sagarpur, Suyurpur and Kishangarh. A new Forensic Science Laboratory will be set up in Narela, while Intelligence Bureau<\/a> stations will come up at Dheerpur and Tahirpur. To support the judicial system, land has also been allotted for staff housing in Rohini and Shahdara.Boosting urban infrastructure, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been allotted 20 hectares at Sanoth for a depot and 16 hectares at Narela for a casting yard. Municipal Corporation of Delhi has got land for 24 fixed compactor transfer station sites to improve solid waste management. At Ghazipur, 10 acres have been handed over to MCD, with another 10.4 acres for the expansion of waste-to-energy and bio-methanisation facilities.Delhi Jal Board<\/a> has secured land for sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations at eight locations, along with an underground water tank at Sangam Vihar. Approval has been given for 151 borewells to augment water supply.Land has also been set aside for community halls of sub-registrar offices at Dwarka Sector 19 and Manglapuri. No objection certificates have been issued for 112 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and five Atal Canteens, expanding access to healthcare and affordable meals.To boost environmental infrastructure, an e-waste eco management park has got 8.5 hectares at Holambi Kalan.DDA has also allotted land for a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Jwalapuri and govt schools at Shalimar Bagh and Karawal Nagar. At the education hub in Narela, premier institutions such as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi Technological University and Central Sanskrit University have received significant allotments.\u201cThe streamlined land allotment process has removed long-standing procedural hurdles.
