A postdoctoral position in the United States was also on the table.But during her doctoral research, something happened that changed her definition of success.She began meeting people living with vitiligo\u2014a chronic autoimmune condition in which the body’s immune system destroys pigment-producing cells, leaving white patches on the skin.
