For the celebrations, the new bride opted for a red fusion ensemble while the dashing groom contrasted perfectly in shades of black and gold. Sharing a closer look at her ensemble, the bride wrote, “For our cocktail, I knew I wanted to wear red. It is my first evening as a married woman, celebrating this new chapter and somehow sindoori red felt like the only colour that made sense.”Elaborating about the thought that went into the creation of the sensemble, she said, “I wanted it to feel like a metaphor for who I am. Starting with a Banarasi brocade sari, @amitaggarwalofficial deconstructed and reimagined it into a sculptural corseted silhouette, preserving the beauty of its original drape while transforming the pallu into a contemporary couture statement. It honoured tradition without feeling bound by it. And I think that\u2019s exactly what this entire wedding has been about. Holding on to where I come from, while wholeheartedly embracing everything that\u2019s ahead.”<\/p>\n

The celebrations kicked off on Tuesday evening with a long list of Bollywood stars arriving for the celebrations. The bride and groom put on their best smiles as they stepped out hand-in-hand to pose for the shutterbugs.<\/p>\n

Janhvi Kapoor looked ethereal as she dazzled in a shimmering lavender-gold saree and paired with statement diamond jewellery.Their father Boney Kapoor, who was earlier seen in a red suit, switched to a crisp white suit for the reception. He returned to the photo area and smiled as he posed for the paparazzi once again.Actor couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza made a graceful entry at the wedding reception. Riteish chose a navy bandhgala, while Genelia wore a shimmering embroidered outfit.Actor Bhumi Pednekar attended Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar’s wedding reception in a striking black-and-silver lehenga. She completed the look with matching jewellery, soft waves and glowing makeup.Actor Varun Dhawan arrived at the wedding reception in an all-black ensemble. Actor Chunky Panday, who arrived with his wife Bhavna Pandey, chose a vibrant coral kurta. His wife complemented him in an embroidered ethnic outfit.Other stars who attended the celebrations were director Atlee, veteran star Rekha, actors Shanaya Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and many others.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Anshula shared the emotional story behind her bridal ensemble, revealing how she kept her late mother close to her on her most important day. The bride mentioned that the one thing she was certain about carrying on her wedding day was her late mother’s 42-year-old gold tissue and zardozi dupatta.<\/span>Taking to her social media account, Anshula shared a series of stunning bridal portraits from her wedding festivities. The pictures show her as the bride dressed in an elegant antique rose lehenga, accessorised with layered emerald and pearl jewellery.
